Actually yknow what? This looks better. Now way it’s going to move anywhere now.

the holes aren't /perfectly/ aligned, the stitching isn't /perfect/ (especially on the bottom), but I'd say it looks pretty clean overall tbh

First step of that is going well. Now I need to uh, clean the edges, burnish them, punch the holes in, maybe paint the edges, and then do the other side of the band...

It’s not perfect, the band is slightly too thin, I stitched through the date mark cause I was a dumbass, and I made a blemish on the front because I didn’t paint cleanly enough, but it’s a good first try and the next ones will be better!
